Education

BA in Mathematics, Swarthmore College MS in Applied Statistics, Villanova University

Experience

- Former Curriculum Writing Associate for Common Core (11th and 12th grade math) - Began as an SAT and general math tutor at the College Bound in Broomall, PA in 2007 while in college. - Have been tutoring math, stat and physics privately since 2011. - I have passed numerous exams administered by the Society of Actuaries, and plan to be a full-time actuary at some point. - Between sessions, I may offer a followup document to the previous session. I typically send these when we experience confusion during the lesson on a particular topic or problem, or if we run out of time. Using a mathematical typesetting language called Latex, my feedback and explanations will look like pages from a neat math textbook. I convert these Latex documents to PDF and email them directly. Because nobody likes to read (sqrt(x^(a+b^c_0(1-(k_1+k+2))))^(-(1/x-2))! Ask for a sample document!
