Experience
In 2008 I spent six months living and studying in France where I was able to expand my vocabulary, improve my accent, and enhance my intuitive grasp on the language. I was also able to depart from my textbook knowledge and learn the way French is really spoken in daily life. I have extensive class experience; 4 years in high school, and many college classes including literature, culture, and advanced grammar. I am currently a Nanny for two toddlers who are being raised bilingually. It is exciting to work regularly with them in French and I would love to also work with older children whose first language is not French. I am happy to help students with the grammar they need succeed in their French classes at school, but I am also interested in working conversationally and preparing even beginning students to communicate with native French speakers.
