EducationI attended Montgomery County Community College from 2008-2012, and then transferred to Temple University. I studied at Temple University from 2012-2013. I have completed all General Education Requirements, and only must finish the courses associated with my major, Classical Languages.
ExperienceI have been tutoring any subject at which I excel to my fellow students since I was young. All my peers had an easier time learning from me than from the teachers, because I would teach at their level.
I have always found that teaching and educating people is one of the most important things that a person can do. Since I am excellent at explaining things to almost anyone I encounter, I have decided to make a career out of teaching the most fundamental piece of daily life- language.
I am a native English speaker, and have studied many other languages, such as French, Classical Latin, Spanish, and Japanese. I found that learning other languages helped me to understand where English words, grammar, and meanings came from and I want to impart this knowledge to anyone who wants to learn.
I have knowledge of singing technique, after having taken over 5 years of voice lessons. I also have taken the course Introduction to Linguistics, which I find useful in showing a student the difference between how a word is spelled and how it sounds. I have experience in showing a student how to place their mouth correctly, so as to produce the sounds they are trying to make, which gives me an edge in teaching American English pronunciation.
HobbiesI love music, languages, cultures, and learning about places that I've never traveled to. I believe that it is important to maintain the original culture of a student, while informing them of the culture of which they are aspiring to be a part.
