I have over five years tutoring experience. After completing 2 years at MIT studying nuclear engineering I am well versed in math and science through the high school AP and introductory college level. I have extensive experience working with students who have ADHD and Autism. I provide services in 3 general areas: Test prep- For students who are taking the PSAT, SAT, ACT, SAT subject tests in Math, chemistry, biology, physics, and literature, or the GRE, I provide a comprehensive overview of the material covered on the exam as well as strategies for increasing scores. Programs are customized to students' individual goals, strengths, and weaknesses. Academic tutoring- For students who are struggling in math, science or writing, I provide tutoring based on the concepts they are currently studying in school. The primary focus is on helping students deepen their understanding of concepts and improve their grades in school. General tutoring- For students who struggle academically due to problems with study skills, self evaluation and self advocacy. Lessons focus not only on the academic subjects themselves but also on time management, organizational skills, and knowing when and how to ask for help.
