I have an education in Biological Science that is coupled with the experience of having served in community health advocate positions. My studies have been instrumental in helping inspire the opportunities that have crossed my path in life. As such, I am highly enthused about education and working in the health field. I also hope that I can influence others to feel excited about their subjects.When tutoring, I like to encourage an environment where people work together. My experiences, which include AmeriCorps and Philadelphia Health Corps, have given me a complete perspective of why education is important. These experiences have also given me insights about the need to acknowledge one's own needs while giving support to others. My goals are to continue to work in the healthcare field and pursue a career in medicine. In the meantime, I will keep to tutoring kids in the community.Subjects that I tutor include Elementary Math, Middle School Math, Spanish, American History, Writing, Grammar and Mechanics, Biochemistry, and Social Studies. When not tutoring, I enjoy outdoor activities, bicycling, reading, and traveling.
