ExperienceMy experience as a tutor is extensive. Through that experience, I have learned that students have diverse needs and that finding and addressing those needs is crucial. Only then can we achieve our learning goals. I say "we" because it is a team effort. We achieve success only if we are on the same page regarding goals and share the same commitment to work toward them. I try to set goals at the start of every session and assess our progress at the end.I enjoy my tutoring sessions and I feel that my students should too. That is why I tailor my teaching style to the student's needs. Nothing good will come of trying to force a student to learn in ways they cannot manage. While I want my students to succeed and I push them toward their goals, I try to keep things light and fun. To me, that kind of atmosphere is most conducive to a student understanding and retaining the most information. My tutoring experience includes grade school students with ADHD, as well as high school and college students - some close to failing their classes. When I was at Drexel University College of Medicine, I tutored students there in upper-level subjects.
