I am a graduate of Union College with a major in Biological Science with a concentration in molecular biology. I am currently a teacher at the high school level in introductory and advanced placement biology, and algebra. I taught the same subject matter, as well as environmental science, for two years at another area school. I have been fascinated by science all my life and that enthusiasm bred the inspiration to pursue an education career and share that interest with students. I strive to help students gain awareness of the natural world, using a variety of tools like lab sessions, visual accompaniments, and different physical models to assist in the understanding of complex scientific scenarios. I often work with my students away from class to discuss more efficient methods to match their learning styles and organization habits. My hobbies and interests include hiking, exploring the St. Louis area, cycling, cooking, reading, and swimming.
