Experience

I earned my B.A. in Geography & Urban Studies and Environmental Studies. Before college, I took the opportunity to take a year off and moved to New Zealand, where I worked on an organic farm. During my time there, I became passionate about food and environmental justice, which has led me to work in urban community gardens. I have extensive experience working with children of all ages from participating in service learning projects and helping in after-school activities. I firmly believe that our youth have the power to change the world and that learning to write is the most important skill in their toolbox. My passion is helping others take their thoughts and mold their ideas into a great piece of writing. I believe reading and writing should be daily activities. When I'm not tutoring youth, I go on bike rides, raise bees, and play the fiddle.
