Experience
I am a tutor with vast experience in studying and teaching English. I can also tutor in a number of other areas, though my specialty is reading comprehension and composition. I have a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from Rutgers-Camden and earned my bachelor's degree in English from Tufts University. When I was working on my MFA, I taught writing courses at Camden County College. I try to bring a fresh approach to teaching that most of my students deeply enjoy. My lessons are fun, interactive, and feel more like a friendly get together than a tutoring session. I have a passion for writing and it is clearly reflected in the work I do with my students. It is incredibly rewarding to work with students and see their reading and writing skills improve so dramatically in such a short amount of time. In my free time, I am a freelance writer for various magazines and newspapers, including the New York Times. When I'm not working on some creative fiction, you'll often find me strumming a guitar or engaging in a sporting event. I also enjoy writing and reading.
