I recently returned from Santiago, Chile where, for almost two years, I earned my certification to teach ESL, and utilized this certification to teach ESL publicly and privately. Teaching ESL required that I hone my tutoring skills based on what was best for each student I helped. My jobs also required that I fine-tune my Spanish fluency. The demands of becoming fluent in Spanish illuminated the challenges students face while learning a second language. I am eager to use the language lessons I've learned and developed toward continuing to help students master English.
