Experience

I love to work with students, and consider education a passion of mine. I have been a teacher, a writer, and a tutor. I have been lucky enough to work with students of all different ages and educational levels. I have also taught college students at Johns Hopkins University. I offer tutoring in Russian, ESL/ELL, Reading, Writing, Literature, Grammar and Mechanics, Public Speaking, Languages, English, and test prep for the PSAT (Writing Skills and Critical Reading) and SAT (Subject Test in Literature, Verbal, Writing, and Critical Reading). I can also assist with writing and editing essays, and improving study skills and organization. I am available to tutor during the school year, and in the summer.I am a graduate of Swarthmore College, as well as Johns Hopkins University, where I earned a Master of Fine Arts in Writing.In my free time, I enjoy creative writing, reading good fiction, playing my ukulele, and cooking different dishes.
