I'm a current third year Ph.D. student in philosophy at Villanova University. I received my B.A. in German and Philosophy from Hillsdale College, where I graduated magna cum laude, with undergraduate honors, and major-specific honors in German. My college education was in the liberal arts, with a heavy emphasis on the humanities, especially history, literature, and philosophy.
Experience
I am a passionate student of philosophy with several years of tutoring and teaching experience. I have worked both as a German tutor for college undergraduates, and as a college writing center tutor. I've also taught philosophy and literature as a teaching assistant at the university level. I am bilingual in German and English (Certified C2 by the Goethe Institute in German). I acquired native speaker level fluency in German through eight years of study, extensive travel abroad, and one year enrolled at a German university. I want to be a tutor because I am confident that my competencies in German and Philosophy can be of great benefit to aspiring students!

Hobbies
I spend most of my time reading and writing. I'm an avid learner, and I most enjoy pouring myself into a new area of knowledge. I especially enjoy language-learning. Recently, I have been honing my ability to read and translate French, and I have just embarked upon a course in Latin. I'm also a lover of movies, and I relish the opportunity to watch a new or classic film, or even a great TV show. I'm currently invested in the gripping return of David Lynch's Twin Peaks!
