Education

I graduated in May 2017 with my B.S. in Chemistry from Temple University Honors College with a GPA of 3.83. I also minored in Spanish. I am a member of Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society, and received the American Chemical Society Award in Inorganic Chemistry in May of 2017. I attended the University of Pennsylvania this past semester to start towards my PhD in Inorganic Chemistry, but I realized that I was in school for the wrong thing and am switching gears towards getting a Master's in Education, with the hopes of teaching high school, or if possible, at the university level.

Experience

I tutored for Temple for three years, tutoring Gen Chem, Organic 1, and math up through pre-calc. I have also been a TA at the University of Pennsylvania for the past semester (August 2017-December 2017), teaching Gen Chem 2. I got a 5 on the AP Chem exam, AP German exam, and AP Calc BC exam and 2270 on my SATs. I was enrolled as PhD student at Penn for Chemistry, but I've realized that my actual passion is teaching, not lab work, so I'm in the process of re-orienting my efforts towards teaching!

Hobbies

I genuinely enjoy tutoring and teaching enough that I would call it a hobby, I spent a lot of free time with my students this past semester. I also enjoy traveling and seeing sights around the city, and of course hanging out with friends. I spend a lot of time with my family when I can, too.
