Hello! I am an English Literature graduate from Scotland living and working in Philadelphia. I work as a tutor and write fiction and was selected a couple years ago as a Scottish Booktrust New Writer of the Year. When I started high school I struggled badly with Math. It confused me and I hated feeling stupid, so I ignored it. Eventually my parents started looking for a tutor. They booked a young PHD student called Ben. Ben helped me get to grips with the subject for the first time in my life, doing wonders for my classroom confidence along the way. It was a hugely valuable experience for me, and I aim to give each of my students that same boost in the subject which I love - English. I offer one to one tuition sessions for all ages based around reading, essay writing and other core English skills.
