Experience

I'm a certified teacher of English, math, and social studies at the middle school and high school levels. I have four years of experience as a substitute teacher, and many years of experience tutoring in a wide array of subjects. As a tutor, I have a good understanding of how to connect successfully with students, and of how to explain information to them in unique ways that the student can understand. I do everything I can help students have the light bulb go on in their heads, meaning they have understood a topic. I love teaching, and I love education, and I look forward to helping new students find success. I can tutor students in algebra, English, elementary school math, geometry, middle school math, trigonometry, study skills, essay writing, grammar, and others, or can help students prepare for the ACT, SAT, PSAT, and other assessment exams. In my free time, I enjoy cooking, going out restaurants, playing the violin and piano, and cats.
