EducationSt John's College - Bachelor in Arts, Liberal Arts and Sciences
ExperienceI earned my undergraduate degree in liberal arts and sciences from St John's College. I am currently pursuing a graduate degree in high energy physics at the University of Pennsylvania. Throughout the course of my studies I have been given the opportunity to tutor other students in a variety of math and science courses. I currently offer tutoring services for algebra 1 & 2, calculus 1-3, differential equations, geometry, elementary math, pre-calculus, trigonometry, middle school math, applied mathematics, multivariable calculus, arithmetic, elementary math, econometrics, algebra 3/4, business, IB physics HL & SL, pre-algebra, AP physics 1 & 2, AP calculus AB & BC, and other math and science courses. I also enjoy helping students prepare for standardized exams such as the GRE, SAT, and PRAXIS.
I love the challenge of higher level mathematics and the challenge inherit in finding a way to teach these subjects to those who find them challenging. Because of the nature of the subjects I tutor, I believe it is more important to teach students how to think about a specific topic or type of problem rather than simply teaching them how to solve individual problems. It is necessary to understand the general method if one is to succeed in this field.
