Why I want to be a Grade-A tutor: Back in high school, I had a tutor in Math and Science who quickly became much more to me. He was my mentor, my motivator, and my support. By encouraging me and stimulating my curiosity, he fired up my passion for learning, particularly in Physics and Mathematics. As a tutor, I hope to spread this passion, and to inspire in my students the joy of learning, of being curious and applying that curiosity to greater things. Other experiences: At Columbia, I enjoyed working two years as a Research Assistant under two professors in Experimental Condensed Matter Physics. I worked in nanoscale fabrication, making electronic devices that are micrometers in size. Working in a research group has been an incredible experience of putting to work what you learn in class and read in textbooks, and to push the boundaries of your understanding.
