Sophomore at Saint Joseph's University in Philadelphia, studying Spanish, English, and Linguistics.
Experience
I tutored students in Spanish during high school as a member of NHS and the Spanish Honor Society. Last year, I received training adult literacy/GED tutoring when I volunteered at Lutheran Settlement House, and I just spent two weeks teaching English to kids in Ecuador. This year, I intend to get certified to teach English as a Second Language, because I hope to use my degree to help Philadelphia's (Spanish-speaking) immigrant population acclimate to our country. I have a head for grammar, so I would absolutely feel comfortable helping your child in English or his/her foreign language class. I've studied Spanish for 9 years and French for 3.
