I graduated with highest honors (Summa Cum Laude) with a cumulative GPA of 3.96/4. University of Pennsylvania. M.S in Education (in progress). International Educational Development Program.
Experience
I first started tutoring as a freshman in college. I tutored at the local middle school in Minnesota as an AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) tutor. Through that experience, I learned that tutoring was not just telling answers to students directly, but rather helping students to figure out problems by their own means. Also, I learned to be patient to every student because each of them learned at their own pace. I have two years to complete my master degree. Thinking of the fact that I might only been in Phily for two years and I want to make the most of it- by interacting with people around the city! I have a vehicle therefore I am pretty flexible to anywhere in Philadelphia. I am a native speaker in Chinese. I am from Harbin, Heilongjiang, China. I speak fluent Chinese without accent. Unlike people from the South, in which Mandarine maybe their second language, I am from the North part of the country so Mandarin is my first language.
