I'm a 25 year old young professional passionate about education. I have tutored/taught (non-native English speakers, adults, college students, and children). Just recently I completed an English Teaching Assistantship with the Fulbright Program in Brazil. This is a prestigious program funded through the U.S. Department of State. I taught English to college students as my job, but volunteered at middle schools, and a church to teach English in my spare time. I love to teach and help others improve their language skills. In addition, I am just now returning from my teaching job in Brazil, and would love apply new methods I acquired while there. Additional facts: *I speak conversational Portuguese. *I graduated in the top 3% of my high school class (approx. 500 students). I was a straight A student *I make my hourly rate as reasonable as I can due to the poor economy. I am also flexible with my hours of availability *If you do not like your first session/hour you do not have to pay. Feel free to find a tutor more suitable for you! *I was born in the United States, but my ethnic background is Jamaican, Cuban, and Panamanian. Both my parents were immigrants, so I can relate to the idea of being a foreigner, as well as Latin and Caribbean culture.
