I've gone through the process of admissions for my undergraduate and graduate school applications, and I know from firsthand experience that solid preparation for entrance exams has a huge impact on the odds of success. That's why I feel so strongly about supporting my students and providing the assistance they need to succeed. I hold a BS degree in Biology and a BA in African Studies from Yale and am a med student at UPenn, though I deferred admission in order to take a research position for real-world experience in the areas of infectious diseases and behavioral neuroscience. During my undergraduate career, I not only completed all requirements for admission to medical school, but I also tutored high school students in the local public school systems, which gave me a lot of experience in figuring out how to communicate in a way that fit each student's individual learning style. This involved tutoring in specific subjects, but also prep for the SAT and ACT tests, so I have a broad range of experience to draw from. I'm versatile and flexible, adjusting to what the student needs, and I believe success is possible for everyone with the right tools and assistance. When I'm not tutoring, I enjoy participating in sports and hanging out with friends.
