I have a background in writing, education, and social services, with four years of tutoring experience. My tutoring career started at Penn State, where I tutored students working on writing assignments in diverse subject areas. I helped those students with everything from essay writing to research assignments and business related writing. While attending college, I also worked as the editor of the college's lit magazine and worked for a nonprofit. At the nonprofit, I helped children and adult students with their writing. I collaborated with them to create individualized lesson plans that would help them meet their learning objectives. I always adapt to individual needs and offer student-centered teaching with a focus on improving weak areas. My literary work has been published in Poetry Quarterly and numerous small press and literary magazines. My freelance work has been published in The Centre Daily Times and other media venues. I currently work as a freelance writer.
