Experience
I have made it a goal to make a difference in the lives of others. One of the greatest ways to create positive chance in someone else's life is through education. In the past, I have taught remedial English classes at a West Philadelphia high school through a public outreach program, which I found to be very fulfilling. Over the past four years, I have also been a tutor, with a track record of student success stories under my belt. Though my tutoring has largely focused on the area of high school chemistry and improving test preparation strategies, I also have a background with a wide array of subjects, including SAT preparation. Everyone has their own set of circumstances, but learning can be an even playing field with the right help. I graduated magna cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania, where I obtained my degree in psychology. At the moment, I am a research assistant for a psychology center, located in Philadelphia. Public health is another interest of mine, as I feel it affects all of us. When I am taking a break from the regular flow of life, I very much enjoy attending the theater and swing dancing.
