I have earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry (with concentrations in both Environmental Chemistry and Chemical Physics) from Stony Brook University. While there, I also minored in Environmental Studies. I am passionate about education of all sorts, and I am currently working toward my Ph.D. in Chemistry.It is my belief that successful students are those who can think critically about problems, and who have motivation to take personal control of their education. I am available to tutor Mathematics (including Algebra 1-4, Pre-Calculus, Calculus 1-2, Geometry, and Trigonometry), Chemistry (especially Physical and AP Chemistry), Physics, and SAT test preparation. I am also able to assist with college essay writing and editing. My preferred subject is Chemistry. Personally, while I originally found great difficulty with the subject while in high school, I was able to persevere and learn invaluable problem solving skills. It is my passion to help students develop the tools they need to achieve success without a tutor, so they are able to continue to learn and advance in any subjects they are facing in the future.In my spare time, I enjoy studying astronomy. I also have an interest in yoga and Taekwondo.
