Experience
I'm originally from Paris, where I was raised in a household that spoke both French and English. I came to the United States to pursue higher education at Swarthmore College, where I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Education and History. The bulk of my courses focused on various social movements in the United States during the 20th century, but I also focused a lot of time and resource of a number of European events at the time, including the 1931 Paris Colonial Exposition. While pursuing my degree, I also worked as a French tutor and helped a number of students improve their language skills and prepare for upcoming tests. My favorite subjects to teach are history, English, and French. As an educator, I strive to create a friendly and professional relationship with my students. My goal isn't just to help them memorize material for upcoming tests, but teach them how to grow and develop from the knowledge they have. I also believe that one of the best ways to teach someone is by helping them develop an interest in the subject, which is done by relating their classroom material to things that they're interested in. Along with academia, I also enjoy music, playing the guitar, and going to concerts.
