Private tutor in Philadelphia, PA
Temple University - BA, Biology , Drexel University - MS, Biological Sciences
In 2010, I graduated from Temple University with a bachelor's degree in biology, as well as a minor in public health. Since then, I graduated from Drexel University with a master's degree in biological sciences, while also working as a teacher's assistant. During my time as a graduate student, I helped my peers gain a better understanding of anatomy, including the hands-on parts like dissecting cadavers. While anatomy is my favorite subject to tutor, I love teaching life sciences to anyone who's interested to learn. As a teacher, I enjoy making the learning experience as fun as possible. I like to come up with games and creative activities that help the students really dive into the content. One of the ways that I do that is by incorporating a lot of supplemental material into every lesson. I find that students really enjoy learning with videos and diagrams, and that they are great for helping people get a better understanding of the study material. For me, the best part of being a tutor is being able to interact with my students and create a fun-filled environment that inspires them to learn outside of the classroom. In addition to all things biology related, I also enjoy traveling and playing music.
