Experience
I have tutored elementary and middle school math and reading to elementary and middle school students but, while an undergraduate, mentored students at G.W. Carver High School in AP chemistry. Tutoring science and math at the K-12 level is most enjoyable for me. I can cover topics ranging from algebra to biology, to honors chemistry. I am passionate about both the concepts of teaching and learning. While it gives me great pleasure to see students light up when they finally grasp a topic, I can't help but keep learning new things for myself all the time. I'm currently teaching myself Spanish and Portuguese just so I can become more fluent in these languages.As for my own education, I graduated Temple University with a B.S. in Biology and received an Associate of Science in Science from Delaware Community College. Now I am working on a Master of Education from Eastern University. Once my master's degree is complete, I want to teach English as a second language, or perhaps math or science, while working in another country. Based in Upper Darby, Pennsylvania, I enjoy my spare time by going on long runs, reading, knitting and crocheting, and playing my violin.
