I attended and graduated from Temple University, Philadelphia, PA, with a bachelor's in Middle Grades Education. I'm certified to teach grades 4-8, and have a specific concentration in Science and English. I've taught 6th grade Science and Social Studies, and also 8th grade Science. I've tutored students in grades 1-6 in an after school learning program. Throughout college, I edited college admissions essays as a volunteer. While I have a special love for teaching science and English, I'm an experienced tutor in elementary and middle school Math, Anatomy, Biology, Astronomy, Phonics, Reading, Essay Writing/Editing, Grammar, English, American history, Religious Studies, IB World Religions SL, Life Sciences, Geography, and study/organizational skills. I can help your student prepare for ISEE (lower level and middle level) or SAT (verbal, writing, and critical reading) testing, also. My lessons are structured around my students. I strive for interactive sessions that engage the students by keeping learning fresh and fun, but also challenging. Away from academics, I love spending time with friends, attending concerts, and listening to music. I passionate about cooking, and really love to eat what I cook. I also enjoy spending time outdoors, running, and practicing yoga.
