I received my BA in Classics (Ancient Greek and Latin Literature) from the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, MA. My concentration was in Peace and Conflict Studies. At present, I am taking classes to prepare for entrance into graduate school to study Psychology. While I was an undergraduate I taught Latin for the Classics Honors Society and was an ESL teaching volunteer. After graduation I relocated to Spain and earned a TEFL certificate by tutoring there until my visa ran out. I moved to Philadelphia and began working as an ESL classroom teacher. Because of these varied experiences I particularly enjoy teaching subjects that involve language --and Psychology, my more recent obsession. As a teacher I try to encourage and challenge my students. I want my pupils to discover their potential. This requires work on their part, without which, victories would be much less meaningful. My sessions are efficient, supportive, and stress free.In addition to Spanish, I can tutor in a number of subjects. These include Latin, Psychology, the SAT and GRE standardized tests, English, and the social sciences.In my private time, I love traveling and have been lucky enough to live in both Italy and Spain, in addition to visiting numerous other countries. I also like to run and lift weights at the gym.
