Experience
I earned my Bachelor of Science with Departmental Honors in Molecular Biology with a minor in Chemistry from Chestnut Hill College. I also took part in the Interdisciplinary Honors Program, which helped me enhance my analytic writing and reading skills. At present, I am completing my master's degree in Microbiology at Thomas Jefferson University. I have several years of experience tutoring college students in a variety of subjects, including algebra, calculus, anatomy, biology, chemistry, biochemistry, immunology, medicine, microbiology, reading, writing, editing, and all levels of French. I am capable of helping students increase their proficiency in the sciences and in French. All students learn differently, so I like to tailor my teaching methods to fit my students' learning styles. As a tutor, my goal is to make learning easier by helping students connect their personal interests and real-world experiences to the material in question. I am a passionate, patient, and creative tutor, and I find it very rewarding to help students achieve their academic goals. In my free time, I enjoy cycling, volunteering with organizations dedicated to animals, reading fiction, and playing video games.
