I earned my BS in Elementary Education at the University of Vermont. In 2013, I completed my MS Ed. in Reading, Writing and Literacy/ ESL. Through both of these experiences, I had many opportunities to work in schools as an intern in various capacities. I worked with students in whole group and supported one-on-one learning. During my graduate program, I interned with both a reading specialist and ESL teacher and gained invaluable resources and experience.
Experience
I am currently a Kindergarten Teacher at a local charter school in South Philadelphia. In this capacity, I teach many subjects including Reading and Writing Workshop, math courses, guided reading, and social skills. Previously, I was Special Educator in Early Intervention specializing in small group and one-to-one support for 3-5 year old students.

I am an enthusiastic and energetic teacher who is eager to share my passion for learning with students and their families. I have lived in Philadelphia for 8 years and just love it here. I spend a lot of time teaching, riding my bike around the city, and talking my dog on long walks. I am very creative and spend a lot of time cooking, sewing and painting.
