Experience
I took my BA in Elementary Education and Special Education with a Reading concentration from Wilkes University. After I graduated, I've been able to teach at every grade level from first grade to senior year in high school. My focus, however has been middle/ primary school Reading and Math. I like to teach these very important primary subjects. I have individually taught students as a Special Education teacher and I find it gratifying to help each student advance and learn in that relationship. I am presently a teacher in Philadelphia. I can tutor in math, writing, English, and tutor in test prep for the ISEE, SSAT, and HSPT placement exams.I have had the opportunity to travel to both Spain and Italy recently, and I believe it has enhanced not only my life but my ability to tutor a diverse range of students from different cultures. When I am not teaching my passion is traveling. It is my goal to visit a different country every year. I find it enriches me to encounter and discover our differences and similarities with other cultures. I also like to read fiction, run in 5K races, go to the movies, and watch sports.
