With most of my experience involving working with children in elementary school and middle school, I primarily offer tutoring in language arts and math for these grade levels; however, I can also help high school students. Some of my specialties include algebra, pre-algebra, geometry, basic arithmetic, writing, reading, literature, phonics, essay editing, and grammar and mechanics. I can also tutor college essay writing, public speaking, and study skills. My tutoring style is centered on the student's learning style and interests, and I consider myself a creative person who is both passionate at helping young people and a believer in the importance of continually learning, both for myself and my students. I want to establish a relationship with each of my students and help them reach their potential, so my goal as a tutor is to help set them up for success.I earned my business management degree at the College of New Jersey, and I have worked with students for six years. I am a part of City Year Philadelphia and act as a coach to tutors who assist students who are struggling.Outside of tutoring and pursuing opportunities for learning, I enjoy sports, including running, rock climbing, and dancing. I also like music, the arts, and reading.
