Experience
I am young, but I have teaching experience that goes well beyond my age. For three years, I have tutored my peers and other students at the University of Pennsylvania's Center for Programs in Creative Writing. I have a special interest in editing and improving research treatises and personal tracts. I have been honored to work in the nonprofit sector with pre-teen students, young adults, and all ages in between. I am your tutor if you need help with essays for your college applications or you need to punch up your research or creative assignments. If you need help with the creative reading and writing portion of standardized tests, I can expand your grammar and language mechanics abilities and broaden your vocabulary. I will also show you how to bring your experiences in social studies, geography, and political science into your own writing. My tutoring goes beyond just working with my students to improve their writing skills. I challenge them and impart my own passion for writing into their particular fields of study. I believe that good writing knows no subject boundaries. I maintain an open dialogue with my students and I try to learn as much from them as they do from me. I am currently working toward earning a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science from UPenn, and I work for an international peace initiative to plan and coordinate diversity, conflict resolution, sustainable development, and human rights programs. I reside in Philadelphia and am an avid global traveler. When I'm not writing or traveling, I enjoy tennis and music.
