Hey all! My name is Evan Baron, and I am finishing up my first year at Sidney Kimmel Medical College (formerly Jefferson Medical College) in Philadelphia, and I am going to be in the area doing orthopedics research at Rothman Institute this summer. I want to tutor/help you improve your MCAT scores (or help you learn statistics, chemistry, and algebra). I am looking for someone who will be devoted to studying hard and giving their best effort, as I will be similarly devoted to helping you learn and understand the MCAT material because I want you to do well. By working together, you will crush the MCAT! I scored a 36 on my MCAT (top 96th percentile; 13 Physical Sciences, 11 Verbal, 12 Biological Sciences) on the January 2014 test. During this past 2014 summer, I tutored someone for the MCAT (I can give you his number as a reference) as an employee of Top Test Prep, a certified tutoring company, so the information is very fresh for me. My scores indicate that I am well rounded in all of the MCAT subjects. I have been tutoring for over 6 years in subjects consisting of statistics, chemistry, biology, SAT math, algebra, and geometry and as I mentioned before, tutored for the MCAT during this past 2014 summer. Additionally, I am an EMT and have been a tennis professional at various establishments including a country club for over 5 years, so I possess an understanding and know-how for great communication. One of my strongest tutoring attributes is that I am good at making sure that you know how to answer a given question with the appropriate logic and skills. I am a fun, light-hearted guy, and I aim to make the dreary experience of studying for the MCAT more enjoyable. I play tennis during the warm seasons and squash and skiing during the cold seasons. I enjoy reading medical journal articles and learning new songs on the piano. I study hard but also enjoy hanging with my friends doing new, fun activities.
