I have been a mentor to my peers for a very long time. Throughout my academic journey, I have experienced other students, both well and barely known, approaching me for consult on various subjects. Math is the area that I prefer to instruct, though. To me, its concepts are like games, in a way. Each new formula is a puzzle that can only be solved through careful approach, and you must become knowledgeable to be able to crack the code. The fascinating thing about mathematics is that, regardless of how far apart certain concepts may seem, they are all connected by basic practices.I like to build upon these connections in order to best enlighten those I am helping. If you start from the bottom and work your way up, everything will begin to make so much more sense. I am patient when it comes to educating individuals. I do not mind taking time to solidify information, even if I have to reiterate the same thing multiple times. Another thing that brings me success in teaching is that I like to let people get hands-on experience. It is okay to get something wrong. Without failure, there will never be achievement.
