Experience
I find that most effective way to teach and the easiest way to bring fun into the tutoring session is to learn my student's interests, and center every facet of the subject around those interests. This helps students link difficult concepts with real-life scenarios and makes them enjoyable at the same time. I am currently enrolled at Templeton University, majoring in Sociology and minoring in French, and I plan to attend law school upon graduation. I see the unique learning style of various students as a challenge of my teaching skills and how I might adapt to best help my students. This is one of the most enjoyable parts of teaching for me, and just being able to observe the way different people learn will always keep my job as a tutor interesting. Over the years, I have accumulated a lot of teaching experience. I have served as a volunteer tutor for a non-profit organization, helping often-forgotten urban youth prepare for various tests and examinations. From a very young age, I have been involved in volunteering, and the time I spent early on in life as an instructor at a summer camp helps me interact with young people easily.
