Education
Temple University- Senior Vocal Jazz Education major with minors in Theatre and Creative Writing GPA: 3.67 I started out at Temple as a Musical Theater major and switched to Music Education because I found that I had quite the aptitude for teaching and because I decided that I did not want to live the life of a performer when I could do much more in a classroom. I am one semester away from graduation and will be going right into a school when I graduate, and will pursue graduate and doctoral studies after a few years of teaching.
Experience
SAT- 2150 Praxis- 1650 (out of 1800) I would love to help students get to the next level with their writing and musicianship! I am very knowledgeable about my subjects and I can make what would otherwise be hard work into a walk in the park! I've taken 4 levels of music theory, taken private voice lessons for 13 years, taught music and creative writing in elementary and high schools as a part of my education degree, and got a perfect writing score on BOTH my SAT and PRAXIS tests. I have been in the European premier of a musical (NINE by Maury Yeston), as well as getting to sing the national anthem at a Toronto Bluejays game in Toronto, Canada.

Hobbies
My interests are varied and wide, spreading from singing/ musical theatre/ general music to knitting. I also play soccer and swim in my free time. I'm a bit of a "foodie" as well, and I love finding and making new recipes. I've been told I'm a funny gal, and I try to bring as much of that as I can to my teaching. I want learning to be something that students always want to do, even outside the classroom, and I can give them the tools to do it!
