Private tutor in Philadelphia, PA
Temple University - BS, Early Childhood Education
Part of what makes teaching and tutoring in particular so fun for me is that it allows me to meet and connect with new people every day. One of the reasons I chose teaching as my vocation is that I find the different ways people learn to be extremely interesting. It is this interest which allows me to view teaching not as one person instructing another, but as an opportunity to share experiences and personal interests, and to relate those things to the knowledge that the tutor is attempting to teach to the student. In this way, both the student and the teacher are able to learn together. This makes it a stimulating experience for both parties, and helps to discourage feelings of boredom, disinterest, and stress. I studied at Temple University, which gave me a range of not only academic knowledge, but also good study habits, strong organizational skills, and a variety of other academic techniques that I can pass on to my students. My specialty is Linguistic Studies, and because of my French background, I am able to tutor all levels of French with ease. In my spare time, I like to play sports, learn new languages, and travel the world.
