ExperienceAfter graduating college, I spent three years as a teacher at a private, preparatory high school in Washington, DC. During my time there, I taught science and mathematics courses to students in grades 9 through 12: Biology, Chemistry, Algebra II with Trigonometry, and Modern Science Honors (a self-designed seminar about Biomedicine and Epigenetics). I also tutored AP Biology and college-level Organic Chemistry.
As an alum of a small liberal arts college and a former teacher, I have enjoyed the intimate relationships that I have established with my own professors and students. These one-on-one mentorships have cultivated a unique learning experience that encourages personal growth in both academic and social aspects. My teaching philosophy is specifically tailored to each student's needs and learning styles. With a personalized approach and undivided attention, I aim to help students realize their potentials and goals.
HobbiesIn my free time, I enjoy running, kayaking, yoga, cooking, and traveling.
