Education
I am a recent graduate of Bucknell University (May, 2015). I hold a BA in psychology and a BA in anthropology. I was always in the gifted classes growing up and attended a private, prep high school where I received a remarkable education. My strength has always been in math, even though I did not pursue that path in college. I consider myself to be a well-rounded, intelligent student who is also capable of teaching. I am a firm believer that many people can be smart, but not all can be a teacher. I take that motto very seriously when learning how a child thinks/understands in order to cater to their individual learning needs.
Experience
I want to be a tutor in the areas I know I am strongest in (math, science, psychology, anthropology) to help students who struggle in those subjects. I always benefited from having teachers who could come down to my level to teach, rather than recite the same, tired, technique day after day. I would like to do the same for others. I have an ACT score of 32, with higher scores in science (34) and math (33). I took AP Calculus and AP Statistics in high school.

Hobbies
I am a very outgoing person who is invested in serving those in need. I currently work at a non-profit organization called After-School All-Stars in Philadelphia, where I am responsible for fundraising. Our organization provides quality after-school programs for low-income children. I have always been interested in childhood education and even considered being a teacher before deciding my true calling was non-profits. I have worked at countless summer camps over the past 7 years and am very good at connecting with children of all ages. It would be my pleasure to help your child succeed in school.
