-Tutored grammar school level students (third through fifth grades) as a seventh and eighth grader in English, math, history, and sciences -As an honors student, tutored high school classmates in ninth through eleventh grades - 2005 ACT score 30 - I enjoy working with people and helping them towards a better understanding of their studies. I had to work very hard for my good grades, and I understand that often learning does not come naturally. It is incredibly fulfilling and humbling to help others achieve success and happiness in their education. -I have a masters degree from an Ivy League institution and five years of professional experience, much of which was spent working with the public, communicating complex issues such as regulations and zoning laws and solving (often tense) issues.

Growing up, I enjoyed being outdoors, thinking about how the world around us works, and I loved history - reading and learning about it, and experiencing it through art, architecture, food, and stories. Not much has changed since then. By profession, I'm a historian, historic preservationist, and architectural historian. On my down time, I enjoy exploring historic cities and natural outdoors by bicycle. I'm an enthusiastic people-person, lover of rowing, learning to cook new things and gardening.
