-6 years experience teaching Spanish 1-4 to students in grades 8-12. -Lead teacher in preschool ESL classroom -Worked with recent Hispanic immigrants and their children to prepare students to enter the public education system -Led Spanish immersion camp for high school students I enjoy tutoring students because it is an extension of my work as a classroom teacher, but on a more personal level. I like that I can individualize lessons to meet specific student needs and spend time focusing on the students' interests and goals as they pertain to language learning. I am passionate about the Spanish language and culture and infuse this into my tutoring and teaching by showing students that learning a language can be fun and relevant - it doesn't have to be painful!
