I am a graduate of Tulane University and Eastern University, and I have spent nearly a decade working as an educator. I have worked in positions ranging from serving as a teacher's aide to acting as a head teacher in schools located in the inner city, the suburbs, and abroad. My diverse range of experiences means I can work with students of all ages and abilities in a variety of subjects. As a tutor, I enjoy working with students on an individual basis to give them the personalized attention they need to achieve their academic goals. All students learn in their own way, so I use the teaching technique that best meets their needs. I like to relate the student's own interests to concepts he or she is finding challenging to assist the student in engaging with the topic. I am a determined, patient, and fun tutor, and I will work with a student until we succeed. I can help students in literature, reading, writing, history, geography, social studies, algebra, and geometry. I am also able to help students in AP- and IB- level history, geography, and religious studies courses, and can assist students who are preparing for the ACT and SAT. In my free time, I enjoy sports, reading, and seeing movies.
