I am an outgoing and patient tutor well experienced in biology and SAT/ACT test prep. I have a Bachelor of Arts in Evolutionary Biology from Harvard University, where I have taken pre-medical courses along with classes in Sociology, and Women & Gender studies. SAT: 680 Reading, 670 Writing, 670 MAth ACT: 35 English, 30 Math, 33 Critical Reasoning, 33 Science AP: Calculus AB (5); Biology (5); Statistics (5); Literature (4); Chemistry (4); US History (5); World History (4). My interest in tutoring started in high school when I tutored freshmen in biology. I also have extensive informal experience in tutoring. Growing up, I have helped each of my younger siblings with their academic problem areas, namely math and science. I would also mentor my peers in high school in various subjects. By working individually with students and targeting their problem areas, I would love to empower and educate young minds to succeed academically and motivate them to pursue their long term goals.
