I graduated from Temple University with a degree in Media Studies and Production and certificate in writing. I finished with a 3.1 GPA.
Experience
I have been tutoring at the Writing Center at Temple's Fox School of Business for over 2 years. I help students with their business papers. Most of the students I see are ESL students. I want to be a tutor because I love helping people with the skills I have. My Media degree has turned me in to a analytical writer because of how many media analysis papers I had to write throughout my time at Temple. For example, I wrote a 75 page paper on the video game Clash of Clans, analyzing every aspect of its game play, rules, community, and company that created it. Furthermore, I have taken 6 writing class at Temple to receive a certificate in writing. These included creative writing courses, writing theory courses, and a business writing course. My skills are writing and my passion is helping people, so tutoring lets me combine those two aspects of myself. Beyond my classes I was active in extracurricular activities at Temple. The most notable being my participation in Temple's Be Your Own Boss Bowl, which is a business plan competition that pits students, alumni, and professors against each other. The Plan I wrote for the video game company I worked for placed in the top 12 of about 160 teams and I won my company $5,000 in funding and placed them in a business accelerator.
