I am a Bryn Mawr College graduate. I was a biology major and I had a concentration in public health. I have completed my MCAT and plan to apply to medical school soon. During my time in college, I was an intern in India, at a maternity hospital. I also worked in Philadelphia, where I was able to focus on community health programs. I had the opportunity to work with adult students and immigrants teaching them ESL. My tutoring experiences also include mentoring undergraduate students and middle school students in math and science courses. I tutor a wide variety of subjects, which include, ESL, biology, algebra, and Spanish I and II. I believe tutoring should be interactive and personal. I enjoy instilling a love of learning in my students as well as fostering an attitude of perseverance. I strive to get to know all of my students and adapt my teaching style to fit their personal learning style so that they can reach their goals. Through hands-on activities and by using visual aids, I try to make tutoring sessions as fun and interactive as I possibly can. I have been successful at applying these techniques along with different learning strategies to help my students achieve success.
