I just graduated from the University of Miami and will be attending Temple University for Medical school. I have been tutoring for the past 5 years and have tutored for the past three years with a private company in Coral Gables, FL. I have tutored in math levels ranging from Pre-Algebra to Calculus I. Other subjects I have taught include biology, chemistry, elementary Spanish, English, and history. While at the University of Miami, I was part of a group of students who held weekly workshops for students in General Chemistry to help give them more individualized attention. I strive to help my students learn how to be independent thinkers. I teach effective study skills and work habits to help them in the long term rather than simply helping them with the present material. I gain personal satisfaction from seeing my students succeed and achieving that "ah-ha" moment.
