Experience
I am a professional tutor with more than a thousand hours of experience working with hundreds of students in classroom settings, and dozens more in one-on-one environments. For more than 18 months, I worked as a regional instructional manager for a national test prep company. During that time, I recruited and hired dozens of tutors, trained them to teach the SAT and ACT, and evaluated their teaching abilities in real-world environments. I have consistently maintained a roster of tutoring students for more than seven years. I enjoy tutoring because I enjoy finding the special combination of attitude and approach that speaks to each individual student. No two students are the same, and each needs to be taught in a certain way, at a certain pace, in order to succeed. It is unbelievably rewarding to make that connection and watch students surpass the limits of score achievement that they considered possible.
