I am currently studying at the University of Pennsylvania for my M.S. Ed. in Education Policy. Previously I received a B.A. in Elementary Education from Furman University (Magna Cum Laude, Kappa Delta Pi, Deans List, Phi Eta Sigma). In college I focused on taking classes to help students with learning disabilities succeed and continue to use those practices when tutoring students.
Experience
I have previously taught elementary school, and am a certified elementary teacher. In addition when I was younger I had learning difficulties myself, and therefor understand what students are going through. This allows me to empathize with students, and understand that instilling confidence in my students to use the skills I teach them is the key to success. I have worked extensively tutoring ADD/ADHD students to help them succeed both in and out of the classroom.

Hobbies
Like most elementary school teachers I love working with students, and enjoy watching them succeed in their studies. When I am not tutoring or doing work for graduate school I enjoy yoga, running, hiking, tennis and cooking. I also enjoy reading about education policy, and historical fiction. I am currently reading, "The Art of Racing in the Rain," and just finished, " All the Light We Cannot See."
